Matthew Pierce has operated family owned companies in Oklahoma since 1985. In 1994, he and a partner began American Auto Rental, one of the first "No credit card required, drivers under age 25" rental agencies in the Southwestern United States. In 2000, they sold part of the successful agency to another company. Meanwhile, Matthew attended Bible College, and adopted a child. Jim and his wife purchased a commercial construction company in Oklahoma City and both men continue their close friendship to this day.
The buyers of the original rental agency closed its doors after the September 11 World Trade Center tragedy. In 2008, after realizing there was NO company in Oklahoma which serves the customer base that he and Jim did in the 90's, Matthew began the process of expanding the fleet under a new name, American Motor Rental and American Limousine Rental. We still rent to drivers with or without major credit cards, and we still rent to drivers under the age of 25, (but who are at least 21 years old.)
In addition to offering Crew Cab Pickups, Suburbans, Passenger Vans, and Harley Davidson Motorcycles, American Motor Rental is still the ONLY agency in the Southwest which rents stretch limousines without a chauffer. Yes, really. Our fully equipped luxury limousines are perfect for weddings, proms, bachelor parties, birthdays, or Christmas light tours, and NO SPECIAL LICENSE IS REQUIRED. American Motor Rental is currently the Exclusive Harley Davidson rental agency for all of Oklahoma. New Road Kings, Electraglides, and Dynas are available for local or cross-country trips.
