Limousines

Don't I have to have a Chauffeur's license to drive a limousine?
No. By law, only limousines driven in a "for hire" situation require a chauffeur's license for the driver. Limousines used for personal use are no different than a passenger van or luxury auto rental.

How many people do your limousines seat?
Most seat 8 comfortably, including your driver and a front seat passenger, but the driver area accommodates an additional passenger making a total capacity of 9.

How are your limousines equipped?
Our stretches Lincolns have it all. Imagine renting a chauffeured limo, with flat screen TVs, Stereo, VCR, DVD, wet bar, mood lighting, leather seating, dual air conditioning, and more, BUT WITHOUT PAYING THE COST OF A DRIVER PLUS TIP. Instead of paying up to $250 per hour, you can rent a limo and get your own family member or friend to drive the limousine for as little as $95 PER DAY.

What is the "FREE EXTRA DAYS" PLAN?
Often times rental customers return from a trip on Sunday late in the day but are charged through Monday by other agencies. We offer Free Mondays and sometimes Tuesdays on most rentals. Other Free Weekdays are usually available. Let us know your schedule and we will assure you the best rate on the nicest vehicles in Oklahoma.

Motorcycles

So, all my friends are riding to Sturgis this year, but I don't have a bike.
Okay, we can help. Keep in mind our Harley Davidson motorcycles are not toys. They are equipped with touring packages, 103 cubic inch motors, custom exhaust, & 6 speed transmissions. Rentals are priced by the Day, by the Weekend or by the week. Check the rate page on this website and let us know how we can get you on your "Wild Hogs" road trip.

I've ridden for 20 years but never got a motorcycle endorsement on my license.
Obviously, you're going to need to fix that to rent a motorcycle. And it will keep your insurance in force if you are properly licensed. (Did you know that if you currently ride a bike without a proper license, your insurance carrier can decline coverage if you are involved in a wreck?) Don't forget, many states (including Oklahoma) will impound a vehicle if a driver is not properly licensed. Not having an "M" endorsement on your driver's license is the same as driving a car with no license at all. Both situations often involve arresting the driver and impounding the car/motorcycle by law enforcement

Motorcycle Rentals, what do I need?
To rent a motorcycle you will need a valid motorcycle license from the state or country you live in. We can not take temporary learning permits. And don't even think of renting our bikes to attend a training class or Driver's test. You will need to be 21 years old or older.

MOTORCYCLE RULES (aka, “the fine print”)

Motorcycle Rental Requirements

§ You must be at least 21 years old.

§ You must have a valid motorcycle driver's license.

§ You must have a major credit card, debit card, or cash.

What is Included in the Rental Rate

§ Unlimited miles and no hourly charges.

§ Use of vehicle for a 24 hour period.

Customer Orientation

Every client will receive orientation to the motorcycle. The client orientation will cover all aspects of safe motorcycle operation, the clients' maintenance responsibilities, local and state laws.

Storage

Oklahoma Harley Rentalwill provide storage for client luggage, airline tickets, and other valuables free of charge, however at clients' risk.

Fuel

Fuel costs are client's responsibility. Oklahoma Harley Rental claims no responsibility for motorcycle fuel consumption and mileage. Return vehicle full. Charge of $35 if vehicle needs refueling.

Helmets

Clients are encouraged to bring their own helmets for comfort and style reasons. In addition, helmets may be purchased at our local Harley Dealerships. Helmets are required by law in most locations.

Additional Drivers

None.

Maintenance Responsibility

The customer is responsible for checking engine oil levels at each refueling and reporting mechanical failures immediately. Instructions and procedures for maintenance expense reimbursement are provided at pick-up. Customers will be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in motorcycle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance.

Motorcycle Substitution

Oklahoma Harley Rental reserves the right to substitute the motorcycle confirmed to rental client. Should Oklahoma Harley Rental not be able to provide confirmed motorcycle a similar or better model will be provided to the client. This constitutes the maximum liability of Oklahoma Harley Rental.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of $500 - $1500 will be taken at time of reservation. Security deposit must be processed to guarantee your reservation, with valid confirmation number.

Restrictions

Violation of rental contract voids all coverage & Damage Waivers and client will be held liable for damages. Road Restriction: Rental motorcycles are not allowed on gravel roads, beaches, logging or other non-public roads. Death Valley WARNING: Entering Death Valley during the months of June & August is dangerous and not recommended.

Return Policy

A rental day is 24 hours. A fee of $35/hour will apply for vehicles returned late.

Refund Policy

All confirmed rental reservations are non-refundable. No refunds on early returns.

Booking Terms

§ Reservation must be paid in full to guarantee rate and rental date.

§ Reservations are non-refundable.

§ Discount rates are subject to blackout dates and availabilty.

§ All rental models and rates may vary by dates and season.

Other Vehicles

Can I rent a vehicle to New York City?
Of course—our passenger vehicles can travel nationwide, but all our vehicles must return to Oklahoma City at the conclusion of the rental. Our vast rate plans can include daily mileage for local use, or mileage to and from your destination, with extra miles for touring the city you are traveling to.

I have a 28 foot speed boat I want to pull to Lake Texhoma for the weekend. Is that allowed?

Absolutely. You may pull anything you like, within reason, and within the towing specs of our Crew Cab pickups or SUV's. You will also enjoy the extra space inside the cab and truck bed for your family, luggage, ice chests, and boating gear. You will need to provide proof of towing insurance from your own carrier, or purchase our rider for a small extra charge.

I don't have a major credit card and nobody will rent to me.
Until we opened in 1992, there was virtually no agency for a 21 year old responsible adult without a credit card to rent a vehicle. American Motor Rental has always rented to anyone based on the following criteria:

Renter and all addtional drivers MUST be at least 21 years of age with a valid drivers license.
Renter/Driver must be able to provide at least 2 proofs of identity, which could include documents such as a state ID, a Passport, Utility bills in your name, Phone bills, proof of employment, driver's license, insurance policy, personal references, Government ID, Credit Card, etc. Call us or email us and we'll get you through it--no sweat.
Renter must pay the full rental estimate in advance in addition to a *refundable security deposit of at least $250.00 depending upon the rental vehicle by way of money order, debit card, or major credit card.

What if I break down on my trip?
Even though we only experienced 3 mechanical failures in 18 years, American Motor Rental still utilizes a national 24 Hour Roadside Assistance program, and all of our vehicles are equipped with satellite tracking devices. This helps us find you if you were to have trouble, and it also allows us to immediately find and electronically incapacitate (kill the engine) any vehicle which is stolen or not returned on time with no communication from the renter.

Can I have an additional driver?
Yes you can. The additional driver must meet the same requirements. There is no charge for additional drivers

Do I need to come to you to get the car?
Yes. You do need to come into our office to do your rental contract and pick up your vehicle. We can gladly deliver and pickup your rental but this must be arranged before hand. There is a $50.00 fee (and up) depending on the location. If you need to leave a car here while on your trip, we have plenty of free and secure parking.

I do not know how to work this limousine/van/motorcycle!
Let's hope you know what you are doing if you are renting a motorcycle. But on the others, when you pick up your vehicle, we give you a full walk around and even a test drive if you like. We will show you how to operate all the luxury options on all our passenger vehicles, especially the limousines.

What insurance coverage is offered on the rentals?
Daily rental rates for the vehicles assume the renter will be responsible for the full value of the vehicle and does not include any insurance coverage. We do offer damage coverage for our vehicles if you'd like. Also, check with your credit card company, many of them offer rental car coverage. Let them know what type of vehicle you plan to rent, and be sure to bring us proof of coverage from their office, complete with contact information of your agent.
